Help us capture your dog's personality

To create your four portraits, we need 3–5 clear photos of your dog. They don't need to be professional: photos taken on your phone are absolutely fine.

The photos we'd love to see

1. Head and shoulders: your dog looking towards the camera, with both ears and their chest visible. This helps us capture their distinctive features.
2. Standing, side on: a clear photo showing your dog's natural build, body shape and proportions.
3. Sitting naturally: ideally facing forwards or at a slight angle, so we can see their posture and chest.
4. A three-quarter view: this helps us recreate the shape of their face, ears and muzzle.
5. A happy face (optional): your dog looking relaxed, excited or "smiling". Perfect for the bacon sandwich portrait.

Tips for the best results

• Send the original, full-size photos from your phone or camera. Screenshots and photos sent through WhatsApp or social media are shrunk and can print blurry.
• Natural daylight works best, ideally outdoors in open shade or on a cloudy day.
• Make sure your dog's eyes and face are sharp and in focus.
• Leave a little space around your dog so their ears, head and body aren't cropped.
• Avoid heavy filters, dark photos and wide-angle close-ups, which distort their features.
• No need to worry about messy backgrounds - we'll take care of those.

How it works

1. Send us your photos - use the box just above the Add to basket button. Tick the box, click Upload your photos securely, and enter your name and the same email address you use for your order. You won't need a Dropbox account. When your photos have uploaded, close that tab and come back here.
2. Add to basket - choose your size and check out as normal.
3. We create your portraits - we check your photos first and get in touch if we need another one. Then we create your four portraits and email you a proof within up to 3 working days.
4. Approve and we print - reply to approve your proof or tell us what you'd like changed. Two rounds of changes are included. Once you're happy, we send it to print and it's delivered to your door.

Your photos are private and secure

• You upload your photos through a secure Dropbox link, straight into Hobbster's private folder. Other customers can never see your files.
• Dropbox encrypts your files while they're being uploaded and while they're stored.
• We use your photos only to create your personalised artwork. Your images may be processed by trusted design and print partners, including AI image-editing services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• We never sell your photos, and we do not publish customer photos without permission.
• We permanently delete our copies 30–60 days after your order is delivered, or sooner if you ask.
